Recorded Webcast - KRAS: The Newly Recognized Central Biomarker for EGFR-Directed Therapy
KRAS activating mutations play a key role in neoplastic progression and are particularly prevalent in colorectal, pancreatic, and lung cancers. Recent studies have shown a significant correlation between KRAS mutations and non-response to targeted therapeutic agents for both NSCLC and colorectal adenocarcinoma.
The webcast on KRAS mutation analysis addresses the following questions:
-Why are KRAS mutations important?
-Where do they occur?
-What are the differences between KRAS mutations in NSCLC and CRC?
-What does it mean for treatment selection?
-What does it mean to the patient?
Presenter: Bruce C. Horten, M.D., Medical Director, Genzyme Genetics-New York
