Medical Education
We understand, no matter what field of medicine you practice, it is important to keep up with the most recent medical trends and information. That is why we established our National Speakers Bureau.
Our National Speakers Bureau is a group of medical thought leaders that includes M.D. and Ph.D. geneticists, who are certified by the American Board of Medical Genetics, and genetic counselors. The members of the bureau are available to make presentations or give lectures on the latest medical trends in genetics.
The National Speakers Bureau is an excellent resource for grand rounds, medical and managed care symposia, in-services, residency training programs and other medical education forums.
Over 50 lectures are available in the following subject areas:
- Human genetics
- Prenatal diagnosis
- Cancer genetics
- DNA diagnostic/single gene disorders
- Topical issues, such as ethical and legal considerations in genetic testing and pre-dispositional testing
Lectures range in degree from introductory to advanced difficulty. Average lectures run one hour. Multiple lectures can be combined for half- or full-day programs.
The National Speakers Bureau content is appropriate for a variety of clinical disciplines:
- Primary care physicians
- Geneticists and genetic counselors
- Medical specialists in: maternal fetal medicine, obstetrics, hematology, oncology, neurology, pediatrics and pathology
- Laboratory professionals
- Nursing professionals
- Case management professionals
We also have an array of educational brochures that outline the various types of reproductive tests we offer. If you would like to review any of these pieces, visit the Overview of Services section of our site and download a PDF. You can also call our Client Services Department at (800) 848-4436 and request copies of a brochure.
